The World's Tallest Fuchsia

At 21 feet 7 inches we have the tallest fuchsia in the world - as measured by the Guinness Book of Records on 1st July 2003.

As stated above, the record now stands at 21 ft 7ins beating the former record (held by one of our Trustees, Bernard Lavery) of 13ft 7ins by a massive 8ft.  Mr Lavery supplied the original plant, which was one he bred himself and he has named it 'Welsh Tricolor'.
For those that might be interested in owning a bit of history you can buy plants bred from the World Record Holder from only £5.

The record is now in print in the 2005 edition of the prestigious book, as well as on their web page.
